Abstract

this article talks about the role of importance of student centered approach in teaching English. The teacher has to be a controller rather than teach the whole lesson in sequence. Students take greater ownership of their learning, increasing their motivation and engagement. Student choice helps differentiate instruction—which is essential in meeting the diverse needs of today’s learners. Also, educational games can be a powerful tool for promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills. In the article, several examples of this issue have been expressed by the author.
