Abstract

English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teaching is an ever-evolving field, continuously adapting to global educational trends, technological advancements, and cultural shifts. This article explores the current trends, challenges, and future directions of educational research in EFL teaching. The discussion includes the integration of digital technologies in EFL classrooms, the shift towards communicative competence, and the adaptation of education to diverse learning environments and cultural contexts. Significant educational theorists like John Dewey, Jean Piaget, and Lev Vygotsky are referenced to underline their influence on modern EFL teaching strategies. The article also emphasizes the importance of educational research in shaping effective teaching methodologies and policies, particularly in Kazakhstan, to align with both global educational standards and local cultural needs.
