DEVELOPMENT OF MODELS OF COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

The article examines the concept of “communicative competence” and traces the history of its various models. Despite the lack of a generally accepted view of this term, when creating models of communicative competence, scientists referred to existing ones, since communicative competence is defined as the ability of a speaker to use the appropriate level or form of language for appropriate purposes in the correct context.
